The STEADY Work Program was developed to provide Wayne County youth aged 14-24 with the soft skills necessary for entering the workforce and the opportunity to experience employment in a way that helps explore self and career. Through this process, participants can identify their unique strengths, vocational interests, and personal and professional goals. As participants develop skills, more opportunities become available in community-supported and independent employment.
We are accepting referrals from the community (community organizations, agencies, school representatives, county representatives, individuals and/or family members) for enrollment of eligible individuals into the STEADY Work Program. Upon submission of this form, you will be connected with one of our STEADY Work Enrollment and Experience Coordinators to discuss next steps.
Please note that submission of this form does not guarantee immediate placement in a paid internship. As of October 2024, we are experiencing a high volume of applications, which may result in onboarding and placement delays. We are additionally experiencing a higher volume of in-school youth applications. The waitlist for out-of-school youth is currently shorter and may have more immediate opportunities. We reserve the right to expedite or prolong onboarding as needed. Completing this form remains the only means of entry into the STEADY Work Program. Please email Jay Roscup (jroscup@flxcommunityschools.org) for additional information. We appreciate your patience.
